1993年の結成以来、数々の名作をリリースして来たオーストラリアのエクストリームドゥームバンドMournful Congregation。2014年のEP「Concrescence of the Sophia」や、世界各地のツアーでゲストメンバーとしてドラムを叩いてきたex-AldebaranのTim Callを正式ドラマーとして迎えて制作された、前作「The Book of Kings」から約6年ぶりとなる5thアルバム。より深化した、彼等のトレードマークとも言うべき複雑に絡み合う重厚なハーモニー。時の流れが止められたかのようなスローテンポでありながらも、ダイナミックに展開するリズム。そして、陰鬱な物語を紡ぐヴォーカル。オージードゥームの巨人が満を持して作り上げた、約80分に及ぶ壮大なる陰鬱夢に酔いしれよ！己の為業がもたらす悪夢は我らの元へ．．．．。
