Inertia - CD
1st EP of Australian gothic metal band featuring ex-Chalice members. Justin from Mournful Congregation is also playing in this band. Combination of clean tone arpeggio and metalic deistorted guitar. Sometimes bass guitar become the leading part which makes good hooks in their songs. synth sound which enhance the atmosphere of their music. Ethereal female vocal. their music is basically so-called gothic metal and they add some influences from progressive metal bands like Dream Theater. Especially, over 12 minutes instrumental "Serenity" reminds me of DT a lot. And the last song "Time" is something power metal with majestic chorus in the vein of Blind Guardian. Anyway,
